What days of the week are most people arrested for DUI in Hillsborough County? It looks like Saturday leads all the other days of the week, followed by Sunday and Friday. Remember that people driving on a Friday night might be arrested after midnight, so it counts as the next day.

The lowest number of DUI arrests occur on a Monday. Fewer DUI enforcement officers are on the roads Monday through Thursday, which also helps explain the numbers.

Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office conducted DUI checkpoints on Thursday night, which might account for a small fraction of those arrests. DUI checkpoints are traditionally a poor way to use law enforcement resources, resulting in fewer arrests than traditional patrol efforts using the same resources.

So what month results in the highest number of DUI arrests in Hillsborough County, FL? Looks like January, April, and May. For both 2010 and 2011, the number of arrests seemed to drop slightly during June.
