Why no update for December checkpoints on the Sheriff’s website?
I noticed that too. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is required to publicly announce or publish information about upcoming roadblocks or checkpoints. Traditionally, a lot of checkpoints are conducted around the Christmas and New Years holidays. As of today, the list contains information on low-man checkpoints, saturations, and heightened patrol, as well as whether BAT or transport is provided for the time period of October 27, 2011, through November 30, 2011.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office also publishes “news releases” at http://www.hcso.tampa.fl.us/About-HCSO/Press-Releases.aspx however I’ve never seen information about checkpoints published there.
