Hillsborough County Jail
If you have a friend or family member being held at the jail in Hillsborough County, FL, you can contact an attorney to request that the attorney visit them for a free consultation.
The criminal defense attorneys at Sammis Law Firm set up a same-day meeting with inmates at one either of the jails in Hillsborough County, FL, including:
- Orient Road Jail located at 1201 Orient Road; or
- Falkenburg Road Jail located at 520 N Falkenburg Road.
Both jails are managed by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO). During the COVID-19 pandemic, the jail is allowing private attorneys to set up remote video conferences that can be scheduled online free of charge.
Attorneys schedule the remote video conference with their client using HCSO Visitation Scheduling through https://hcsovisit.com. Professional visits are NOT subject to recording.
The public can also set up remote video conferences although there is a charge for that service.
We often meet with clients who are being held on:
- no bond until after the first appearance for charges such as domestic violence battery;
- no bond because of a violation of probation or pre-trial release;
- charges with a very high bond who need an attorney to file a motion to reduce bond.
The global pandemic caused by the COVID-19 health crisis has made it easier to set up these types of remote video conferences between an attorney and a client. More confidential face to face visits can also be scheduled with permission from the jail.
