Leslie Sammis focuses on DUI defense in Tampa, Hillsborough County, FL. As a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Assocation, the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (FACDL), and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL), Ms. Sammis is able to stay current on changes in the law related to DUI defense. Ms. Sammis is also an attorney on the NORML Legal Committee.
Ms. Sammis graduated from law school at the University of Florida, with Honors, in 1999. She gained valuable trial experience while completing internships with the State Attorney's Office prosecuting felony offenses, the United States Attorney's Office in Tampa assisting federal prosecutors, and a federal judicial internship with the Honorable Henry Lee Adams, Jr., United States District Judge, for the Middle District of Florida, Tampa Division. As a former Assistant Public Defender for the Fourth Judicial Circuit of Florida, Leslie has represented thousands of clients in misdemeanor and felony drunk driving or DUI cases.
Since entering private practice in 2001, Ms. Sammis has continued to focus on representing individuals charged with felony and misdemeanor DUI cases. Leslie Sammis has obtained numerous "not guilty" verdicts at trial for misdemeanor and felony DUI criminal charges.

Jason Sammis focuses his career on defending individuals charged with misdemeanor and felony DUI offenses in Tampa, FL. Jason grew up in Tampa. He graduated high school at Berkeley Prepatory in Tampa before completing his undergraduate work at the University of Virginia in 1996.
Jason Sammis graduated from the University of Florida College of Law in 1999. While at the University of Florida College of Law, Jason was a member of the prestigious Florida Law Review. Jason was also elected the Vice-Chair and then Chair of the Justice Campbell Thornal Moot Court Board.
Jason Sammis is admitted to the state bars of Florida and Georgia, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Middle District of Georgia, the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, and the United States Circuit Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and Eleventh Circuit.

Adneris "Adi" Cruz-Guevara is paralegal / legal assistant at the Sammis Law Firm, P.A. Adneris obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Tampa in 2000 with a major in Criminology. Obtaining her ABA Approved Paralegal Degree allows Adneris to assist the attorneys in resolving the administrative tasks in each criminal case, including drafting the initial pleadings, scheduling depositions in felony cases, and coordinating motion hearing dates.
While the attorneys are in court, Adneris runs the day to day administrative operations of the firm. She is primarily responsible for assisting clients with pending felony charges. Adneris speaks fluent Spanish.

Laurel Whiteside is a legal assistant at the Sammis Law Firm, P.A., who is primarily responsible for helping the clients charged with DUI and other serious driving offenses during the pendency of their case.
Throughout the client's pending DUI case, Laurel plays an important role at the firm by coordinating the dates for the formal review hearing, assisting the clients in obtaining a 42 day driving permit while the attorneys fight the administrative suspension, scheduling court appearance, and working with the attorneys to draft all appropriate motions and pleadings.

Tara Youngblood is paralegal and bookkeeper with the Sammis Law Firm, P.A. Tara is primarily responsible for helping clients charged with domestic violence offenses or served with a restraining order (or petition for an injunction against domestic violence). Tara coordinates depositions, obtains 911 taps and dispatch records, makes public records requests, drafts motions and schedules hearings in criminal cases.
Tara is also primarily responsible for assisting the attorneys with billing and bookkeeping matters.
